How OPTOMICS® works

From molecules to photons

Optomics® combines a proprietary AI and Photonics approach to rigorously generate massive amounts of high-dimensional digital biological fingerprints - “a digital twin” - from minimum volumes of serum of plasma.

01 · Acquisition

Spectral
acquisition

A minimal volume of serum or plasma is acquired from a standard clinical blood draw: no special sample preparation, no additional patient procedures.

The sample is then analyzed by Optomics®’ proprietary spectral technology, which illuminates the sample and captures a rich, multi-dimensional optical response across thousands of data points.

The physical measurement takes under 30 seconds. The sample is preserved intact for downstream use.

02 · Fingerprinting

AI-powered
fingerprinting

The raw spectral signal is processed by iLOF's proprietary AI engine, which translated it into a high-dimensional biological twin: the optical fingerprint.

Each fingerprint encodes thousands of subtle biological patterns, capturing system-level signals that reflect the integrated state of the sample across multiple biological axes simultaneously.

Fundamentally different from traditional -omics approaches. Optomics® captures the integrated signal - the whole, not the parts.

03 · Matching & scoring

Matching
& scoring

The optical fingerprint is matched against iLOF continuously growing biomarker library. AI performs biologically meaningful pattern-matching against similar twins in the library, linking the individual’s signals to clinically validated disease signatures.

The output is a high-confidence pathological risk score: actionable, interpretable, and delivered within the clinical workflow.

Because the library grows continuously, model performance improves over time: earlier screening, higher specificity.

The library

A compounding
data advantage

At the core of Optomics® is a proprietary biomarker library assembled over six years of clinical research - spanning multiple disease areas, populations, and geographies. Every new digital twin acquired adds to a growing body of biological intelligence that continuously improves the platform’s pattern-recognition capabilities.

Continuous accumulation

Unlike AI platforms trained on publicly available datasets, the Optomics® library is proprietary, clinically validated, and tied to a physical measurement method that cannot be replicated without the spectroscopic instrument.

This creates a compounding moat: every clinical partnership adds twins, every fingerprints improves the model, and every model improvement expands the addressable indication set.

Validated performance

Alzheimer’s disease:
breaking the invasiveness barrier

Diagnosing Alzheimer’s currently requires lumbar punctures or expensive PET scans: both inaccessible at scale and prohibitively expensive for population screening. Optomics® changes that calculus.

Alzheimer’s screening

From expensive PET scans to a plasma sample

By functioning as a rapid, label-free pre-screening layer in plasma, Optomics® filters out unlikely candidates before expensive confirmatory testing - protecting patients from unnecessary invasive procedures and reducing trial screening costs by up to 40%.

Platform-level performance

Across all indications, Optomics® is designed around six non-negotiable performance requirements.

Benefit

Actionable intelligence with tangible outcomes

Feature

Decision-ready risk scoring

What it means in practice

Converts spectral signals into pathological risk scores designed for clinical decision-making  not raw data requiring expert interpretation.

Benefit

Lower cost per diagnostic insight

Feature

Photonic acquisition at a fraction of imaging cost

What it means in practice

Reduces the per-patient diagnostic spend by avoiding costly imaging and biopsy procedures for low-risk individuals.

Benefit

Multiple clinical answers from a single test

Feature

Simultaneous multi-biomarker readout

What it means in practice

A single measurement session yields independent risk outputs across multiple disease pathways, expanding clinical utility without added patient burden.

Benefit

Reduces avoidable testing

Feature

Non-contact photonic measurement

What it means in practice

Optomics® acquires its signal through light interaction with tissue — removing procedural risk, patient discomfort, and clinical barriers to testing.

Benefit

Results in minutes, not days

Feature

Real-time AI inference pipeline

What it means in practice

From signal acquisition to risk score, the full pipeline completes at point of care — compressing the diagnostic interval from days or weeks to a single clinical encounter.

Benefit

Scalable and portable: built for global consistency

Feature

Cloud-enabled architecture, point-of-care ready

What it means in practice

Cloud-native infrastructure ensures consistent performance from central lab to point-of-care setting - deployable across geographies without loss of model fidelity.

Two application vectors

What Optomics® delivers

A triage tool for smarter patient pathways

Optomics® operates as a two-step clinical filter: first, a safety-first screening layer that rules out disease for the majority, allowing low-risk patients to return to routine care with high confidence. Second, an evidence-based escalation layer that directs positive cases toward the right intervention, ensuring costly procedures are reserved for patients most likely to benefit.

OUTCOME

Fewer missed cases, fewer unnecessary tests, shorter time to definitive care.

Optimized stratification for faster trials

Powered by the digital twin library, Optomics® delivers an objective, high-confidence risk stratification score supporting cohort enrichment, accelerated eligibility, and reduced screen failure — compressing the diagnostic interval from months to days.

OUTCOME

Faster recruitment, improved cohort quality, more efficient study execution.

IP & regulatory standing

Protected by design. Validated for clinical use.

Optomics® is built on a portfolio of intellectual property spanning the physical measurement layer, the AI processing architecture, and the brand protected across key markets.

The combination of proprietary spectral acquisition, a protected AI method, and a continuously growing clinical library creates a multi-layered defensibility structure that cannot be replicated through software alone.
